Academy Virtual Tour

Nestled on 76 acres in the beautiful hills of Beaver, West Virginia, the National Mine Health & Safety Academy is one of just eight Federal academies operated by the United States Government. The Academy is responsible for training the nation's federal mine safety and health inspectors and technical support personnel, employed by the Department of Labor Mine Safety and Health Administration.

In addition to the hard working men and women of MSHA, mining professionals from across the United States and many foreign countries come to the Academy throughout the year for health and safety training.
